ActiBiso™ Erythrulose (Erythrulose)
ActiBiso™ Erythrulose (Erythrulose) is a natural tanning agent. It undergoes a Maillard reaction, interacting with the amino groups of protein peptides on the skin's surface to create a brown polymer that adheres directly to the skin (the stratum corneum). In comparison to 1,3-Dihydroxyacetone, Erythrulose yields a more natural and authentic brown color, offering a longer-lasting effect and a more stable formula.
ActiBiso™ DHA (Dihydroxyacetone)
ActiBiso™ DHA (Dihydroxyacetone) is primarily used as a formulation ingredient in cosmetics, especially in sunscreens, due to its special properties. It helps prevent excessive evaporation of skin moisture and serves to moisturize, protect against UV radiation, and provide sun protection. Additionally, the ketone functional group in DHA can react with the amino acids and amino groups in skin keratin to form a brown polymer, resulting in an artificial tan. Therefore, DHA can also be utilized as a sunless tanning agent, creating a bronzed or tanned appearance similar to that achieved through prolonged sun exposure, enhancing the skin's beauty.
